Here’s a brief HISTORY about myself and my artwork.

I have 25 years experience in many fields;From punk rock bands in the late 70’s to DJ at some of the very first dance parties in the 80’s.

I designed logos, album covers and promotional material for both genres. Throughout the 80’s I perused my passion for painting, particularly airbrush. This led me to custom design work on race cars in the 90’s.

I have perfected my trade as a spray painter to craftsman status. Coupled with several years experience in the sign industry working with all forms of media, I am now working with these paints, materials and skills in ways not conventional to my trade, but very conducive to artworks.

In 1998 I moved to Cairns in Tropical North Queensland, Australia, and it was here that a whole new world opened up for me. With a different mind set, my art took on a new course. More colour, UV and fluorescent paints became an Orange Peel trademark. This work led me to join up with The Upholstery contemporary arts group, an artists run initiative based here in Cairns. The group has exhibited both locally and internationally. I have been an integral part of The Upholstery exhibitions and events over the last five years, and this has helped me to shape Orange Peel Art.
